Inspired by the legend of Lady Godiva, an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman, who rode naked through the streets of Coventry, England, covered only by her flowing hair, to gain a remission of the oppressive taxation that her husband imposed on his tenants. Handcrafted by local artisans from cast aluminum and finished in antique brass, the Godiva sculpture represents an unyielding dedication to society and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.
